Today I came upon a great little video on YouTube – Mac vs PC. Being a Mac fan myself I enjoyed it a lot.

What a genious app! Simply amazing. You open the app, tap once and SoundHound doe sthe rest – takes a sample of the music, submits it to an online database and returns the result. It gives you the artist name, track name, album, artwork and lyrics. as you have guessed, there is a link to iTunes where you can buy this song. All it takes is a 10 seconds.

Another great feature is humming recognition. You hum a song and the app brings up all the details. You can type or say the name of an artist, song and all the related info comes up on the screen.

The only downturn is that it is not 100% accurate, although I have tried it only a few times. In one case it returned a “Not found” result but when I retried, it found it correctly. I will try it next with my iPhone out of the car cradle, as I think that might have caused the problem with the correct recognition.

Definitely recommended. The free version has 5 credits (5 songs) the paid one £2.99) has no limits.

My Apple iPad was delivered today – one day earlier than the official UK launch, which is tomorrow.

I am very busy in the office right now so no time for playing with it. I left it 3 rooms away in order to avoid temptation but tonight I am going to enjoy a few hours with it.
