thrash metal bands

I was going through a pile of old cds I had purchased recently on ebay, when I found loads of thrash metal bands I have never heard of. They were great sounding, great looking, wearing time correct jewellery and outfits.

I felt an immediate rush of nostalgia. It was a great time…to be in the UK or the US, going to gigs and playing guitar.

Right now I think the heavy and thrash metal is in a revival stage. Lots of old time bands are reuniting and starting touring in the name of good old heavy metal. Well, these may not be the young boys from the eighties anymore but their passion for the music has stayed the same, if not greater.

I am quite pleased to see bands like Accept, Destruction, Sodom, Testament, Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax etc. releasing new records in the same style and sound of the eighties’ metal days.

Keep on rocking , old boys! Show these new young lads how things are being done the way they should!

Watched Lemmy. Great documentary about Lemmy from Motorhead. A bit sad though. This guy may claim he has no regrets but I bet he has. Lonely

Hmm, I see that I am following people I have never followed?!? What could have happened?

I was amazed to find out my new Slash Signature AFD100 amp possessed features I wasn’t aware of.

A few days ago I switched on this lovely beast to play some guitar. To my utter amazement in the intervals between riffs I could hear a strange noise. It wasn’t a humming noise… I could hear a clear human voice talking on a TV (it must have been a TV I was getting because I could hear the sounds of an old western movie later on )!!!

While I was glad it wasn’t a fault with the amp (hummmm) I was getting annoyed by the strange sound coming out of my 4×12 Marshall cab. It must have been the neighbours TV I am receiving.

I hope I won’t have to pay double for my TV license

Despite the annoying sound obstacle (only heard when not playing) I can confirm that I continue to rock on!
